Our English class at All Saints Church is run by Carole and Valerie who are native English speakers and highly experienced English teachers.  They are passionate about meeting new people who would like to improve/learn English as a second language.

We welcome newcomers from all nations to our English classes. This welcome is an important part of our vision of reaching out with love and compassion to those who may need English lessons to help them settle into new circumstances.

Our classes take place through the 3 school terms of Autumn, Spring and Summer. We meet on 3 mornings a week (Monday through to Wednesday) from 10 am to 12 noon, with a short break for refreshments. Our Worship Centre provides a safe and welcoming haven for student learning. This is a calm and comfortable place where newcomers quickly feel part of our learning community, make friends, and develop confidence in speaking, writing and interacting in basic English.

The purpose of our classes it to give learners 'wings to fly', by which we mean developing confidence in using English. With this new confidence, some of our students have moved on to extend their English studies at colleges in Liverpool, for example, and some to find work. Others prefer to remain with us to continue their learning in our very special community.

At the moment (for example) we have learners from Kuwait, Iraq, India, Eritrea, the Yemen, Morocco, Syria, and Iran.

To register for the Autumn term (beginning September 3rd 2018), email us for a short application form to complete online, or call into our office to pick up a form.
